Beautiful Bunch~Mother's Day card

Hi Stampers!
Can you believe it's already the last day of April?  Here is my project for today,
another beautiful card for Mother's day.  I used Blackberry Bliss ink and card stock along with Whisper White.  Very simple card to make and quick, but it's it pretty?
I popped the punched out flower up on a dimensional and 'curled' the petals toward the card then bent them up slightly to make it really POP.  The picture does not do it justice!
Don't forget to check out the clearance rack, and retired list.  Items are going FAST!

Do what makes you happy!

Hi Stampers!
Here is my project for today!
The Stamp Sets I used  was Hello Life Photopolymer set, and Petal Potpourri bundle, they are both available in the Occasions Catalog only until June 2nd!
I was going through my colored card stock and found out I had not used my Smokey Slate for a long time so I though I would make a few cards up.
I used Blushing Bride card stock with this card along with Stacked with Love Designer Washi Tape.
On this card I used the heart swish stamp, (as I call it) on the bottom with Wisteria Wonder card Stock. Both cards have pearls for the center of the flower and Dazzling Details Diamonds Glitter to add a little fun sparkle!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Happy Anniversary~Sahara Sand

Hi Stampers!
Here is my project for today!  I was pretty happy how this card turned out.
Card Recipe:
I used The Something Borrowed DSP (from the Occasions Catalog) and cut it at 1 1/4 X 5 inches.  Then placed them on a piece of Whisper White cut at 4" x 5 1/2", and then layered that onto a piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock cut at a standard A-2 size.
I used Chocolate Chip Ribbon, ink and Candy Dots, which I thought made for a great contrast.  The Stamp is a retied SU sentiment. To cut it out, I used one of the fun Framelits from the Apothecary Accents.  Then popped it up on Dimensionals.

Sorry your s(ick)!

Hello my crafty friends!
Thank you for joining me today.
Ah, 'tis the season to enjoy the warmth of the sun, the trees budding, green grass poking it's way through the dead grass and horrible allergies!  My kids and I seem to be taking turns with coughing and sneezing.  Never fails we never get on our allergy meds before someone's allergy symptoms turn into a miserable spring cold!
That is where I got my inspiration for this card!  LOL
Super simple 10 minute card.
I love the Confetti Heart Boarder Punch (available in the Occasions Catalog).  It's so much fun, because after I made the card, I saved the confetti to put inside the card for little surprise when my friend opens her card.  :)   The stamp set from SU I used was Fabulous Four.

Petal Potpourri Birthday card~

Hi Stampers!
I love how this card turned out!  I seen this cute double stamped idea with the Petal Potpourri stamp set (available in the Occasions catalog) and I just had to recreate it!  The colors I used are Strawberry Slush, and Coastal Cabana along with Whisper White.  Simple but fun card!  The Happy Birthday sentiment, Stamp Set is no longer available.
How you make this fun 20 minute (or less)card:
-Using Basic Black stamp the outlined Petal Potpourri flower and then stamp the 'colored' Petal Potpourri stamp in the color of your choice, it's that easy!  I was going to put the Crushed Curry buttons in the center but I had ran out of that color.  LOL

Hope you enjoyed the project today. I love 20 minute cards, so I can spend more time with my children.  :)

Tea Cup~ Mother's Day card

Hello Stampers!
Hope today is beautiful in your neck of the woods!  It sure is here!  :)  I love being able to go for walks and bike rides with my kids.  All too fast these days will pass.  I LOVE the fact that it's camping season, also!!  YES, even though the weather is not a balmy 80 degrees, I love going camping.  I remember going camping in the snow over Easter with my family.  It's so great to leave technology behind and just have fun with nature!
Ok, enough of the chit chat, ha-ha  you are here to see what I have to share with you today.  I thought I would get another Mother's day card done.  Awhile ago I had made a card that I really liked the design of.  You can check that out HERE!  So I simply used the same lay out but changed the colors of it.

It's about to get wild around here! Baby card~

Hi Stampers!
What a beautiful day it is here today!  It makes it really had to stay inside while it's no 'springy' outside!  Luckily, It's nap time for my little guy and I thought I would get some cards done.  :)
The cards I am sharing with you today are from a stamp set from CTMH, it's so stinkin' cute!   The paper, Whisper White and Pistachio Pudding is from Stampin' Up!
I know about 6 people who are going to welcome a new little life into their home soon so I thought I had better get busy with baby cards.  :)  I said new life because not all of them are going to be 'human' babies!  I have a friend who's dog is getting ready to have puppies for the 1st time and I am not sure who is more nervous. But, it's cute so I thought I would send her a card too along with a doggy bowl full of puppy toys.

Butterfly-Friendship card~

Hi Stampers!
Here is an easy 20 minute card!  Ok, not even 20 minutes because in 20 minutes I had 6 of them done.  :)  It's so simple!

What I used are four of the 5 In Colors that will be on the retiring list coming out at the end of this month!  Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Costal Cabana.  Stamped a butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set on Whisper White card stock, cut around them using my Paper Snips and then stamped a sentiment from the stamp set, Blessed By God.  I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the wings with the 2 Way Glue and that was it!  How fun was that?

Antique Journal~

Hello my crafty friends!
Hope today's more like a 'lamb' than a 'lion' for you, it's been a real LION around here! LOL  Hopefully April brings more warmth and sunshine!  :)

I don't have a stamping project to share today, but I do have a fun project.

My oldest daughter is always looking for away to bring her A+ grade even higher, so she loves to do extra credit.  There was an assignment to create a journal like the one Lewis and Clark kept as they ventured west.  When she asked me if I had any ideas, I jumped right on it!  I remember making 'antique' paper with my grandma and dad when I was little, meaning before I was even in school!
Here is what we did.  Brew very strong coffee or you can also use instant Coffee and pour into a pan, I used a cake pan.
The paper I used is plain copy paper.  Make sure both sides of the paper are covered with coffee, be careful when you turn it over.  The longer you leave it, the darker the paper gets.
When you are ready to take it out, if you want the 'old rugged' look give it a gentle squeeze to crinkle it up and then place it flat on a protected table, I used a plastic garbage bags.
Do this until you get several sheets of paper tinted.
The paper will lighten as it dries.
When it dried, I then counted out 10 sheets of paper, she wanted a 20 page journal. After using our computer and printed out "Journal" on a piece of Stampin' Up Crumb Cake card Stock I simply put them all together and sewed right down the middle of the paper.  The 'binder' was a piece of Early Espresso SU card stock adhered on with Fast Fuse also from SU.
The pages will smell like yummy coffee and be bulky for a while, but soon the smell will go away and the crinkles will relax the more you crease it.  You can use pencil, pen or even old fashion fountain pens.  If you are not familiar with a fountain pen make sure you practice on a scratch piece of paper first before you write in your new journal.
There ya have it!  Wasn't that fun!?  Such a fun memory to pass down to my children.  Because you know, once you make a cool project for one, you must make them for all!  My house and their bedrooms smelled of coffee for about a week!  LOL

Have a great day!

Coloring Pasta~for kid's crafts

Hello my crafty friends!
Ok, if your kids are like mine they just LOVE doing crafts for family, especially for grandma!  I was digging through my kid's craft drawer and found some colored noodles I had dyed for my daughter when she was only 4 years old, she is now 13!   My two year old found them and had a great time making collages to give out to everyone at our Easter gathering. After he used them all up I decided I would make up some more but this time, I would make sure and take pictures so I could share the fun with you!
Make sure the room you are working in is very well ventilated!  I did this in my basement and after about 20 minutes I had a nasty headache and needed to get some fresh air!

What you'll need:
-Large bottle of Rubbing Alcohol, (I know you can use white Vinegar also, but they become real brittle so I just stick to alcohol.
-Food coloring
-Pasta of your choice
-glass bowls or bowls you don't want to keep
-spoons

Make sure your area is covered with plastic and have news paper or something down so you can dry your noodles on.
Simply pour the rubbing alcohol into the bowls and drop food coloring until you get the color you like.  Stir them and let them sit for about 5-15 minutes, the longer you wait the deeper the shade.  Then stir again.  After they reach the color you like spoon them out onto news paper or paper towels to dry.
Then you can add more pasta if you want and change up your colors too!  My older kids liked doing this with me, they liked mixing and making a new color.

They dry fast and the colors will lighten slightly but not much.
For the kids to use with crafts you just glue them (with liquid glue like Elmer's school glue) to thick construction paper or a heavy card stock.  You can use them as counting shapes or matching colors or shapes, wow, when I think about it, there are lots of projects you could use these for!  How fun!!

I hope you enjoyed today's kids craft project!
Thanks for stopping by!
