Self Closing Box~ A great Labor Day Project!

Hello my crafty friends!  I have a fun project for you to try!  You have probably seen it on Pinterest or online somewhere.
It is not hard, but it does have several steps.
You will need a piece of card stock that measures 6" x 8 1/2"  and if you like to use DSP (Designer Series Paper) on the outside that paper will measure a square 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, you'll need two of these.  I used Cherry On Top DSP and Bermuda Bay card stock.

Next you'll take your paper on the 8 1/2" side and score it at 4" and 8" turn and score it at 1" and 5".
Fold all your score marks and cut the two small bits on the 1/2 inch piece and cut each score mark on the bottom.
On the 1" score mark side up, (which is the bottom of your box) mark and score from each score mark diagonal to the bottom score mark. (DO NOT GO TO THE BOTTOM OF PAPER)  Like the picture shows.
Again fold these score marks.
Now you are ready to put your DSP on!  To cut them so they fit simply cut them in half corner to corner.  The trick is, to cut one of them on the opposite side you want up so it fits correctly.  Only one you do this way.  Use Tombow Liquid glue to adhere to the card stock.
So it looks like this, next stick Fast Fuse on the the 1/2 inch side and fold shut.  Also use Fast Fuse on the bottom.

If done correctly it will look like this.  You can squeeze the two sides and it will open, you don't need anything to close it!  How fun is that?!

Thanks for stopping by!
