Hooot for Teachers~ book marker

Hi my crafty friends!
Happy Monday and last day of August!!
Here is my project for today!
My daughter came home from school and announced she wanted to get a Journal for her teacher for her birthday.  So after she picked out the journal, I made a quick book marker.
The stamp set I used is from CTMH, card stock is from SU Real Red and Whisper White, along with the markers I used, which are the retired Blendabilities.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a great week!

-Stamps: INKADINKADO, and Stampin' Up!
-Ink: Early Espresso and Crumb Cake
I colored it with Blendabilities which are no longer available from SU but they are a lot like a Sharpie Marker.

Punches from SU.

An Apple a day~

Hi my crafty friends!
Here is my fun little project for today!  For my kids I made little 'apples' with the Curvy Keepsake box Thinlits from SU. It's so cute!!  I then filled them with Heresy's kisses. You can't see it too well in the picture but the loop on top is brown, as if it was the stem, and then I used one of the tags that comes with the Keepsake Thinlits  and stamped a sentiment using the Banner Banter also from SU.
Here is another picture of the pieces before I put them all together.  The baker's twine I got from the Dollar Tree!  I don't have one of those in my town and I'll tell you what, when my kids and I went on vacation and we found one it was so much fun finding all kinds of fun little craft projects for only a buck!  God Bless America!  LOL
The kids loved that they were filled with their favorite chocolates as they get ready to head off to school tomorrow!

Bravo~ my daughter!

Hi stampers!
BRAVO!!  Here is a card I made for my oldest daughter as she heads into the 8th grade!  I wanted to make her a special card.  She read 10 books this summer!  Not just little books, books with over 400 pages in them!  I know she will finish at least one more before school starts in a few days, she's amazing!  She also has beat all of us by reading through Genesis, Exodus, and half way through Leviticus in the Bible! I could gush about her all day long but this blog is for my paper projects, not my children! ha-ha
Here's a list of the items I used to create this card.
Everything used on this card is from Stampin' Up!
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, In-color Lost Lagoon
Paper punches:Petite Petals, & Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
Stamp Set: Bravo, and Work of Art
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Lost Lagoon ribbon , sponge daubers, glue dots
Ink: Lost Lagoon and Black Stazon
I simply stamped the image once and with out re-inking just stamped it two more times.  Then added the sentiment in black Stazon.  With a sponge dauber I added Lost Lagoon to the edges of the punched out flowers after I adhered them to the card stock I finished them off with a basic Pearl in the center.    I think this card turned out so pretty.

Frosted Flower Anniversary card~

Hi my crafty friends!
Here is my project for today. I found scraps of some of the pretty glitter paper I found at JoAnn Fabrics and thought it would make a pretty Anniversary card.  This is what I came up with.  This was a super fast card to make!
Here's what I used:
-SU Whisper White card stock
-SU Vellum
-SU stamp set Beautiful Bunch
-SU matching punch
-Mixed Gems from Studio G
-Pink glitter paper from DCWV paper packs
-Sentiment from Studio G
-Stazon Ink, black
-Pink Pigment ink from Color Box
-Clear embossing powder
-SU Hearts embossing folder
-Big Shot

When you stamp pigment ink on Vellum then use a clear embossing powder to heat set it, it makes for a very beautiful flower!

There you have it!  I know it seems like a lot of steps I listed, but as you can see it's really not that difficult.  I know you will come up with several beautiful cards your self!

Cricut -Owl Miss you card

Hi Stampers!
Here is my project for today!  Every now and then I like to try a new project with the Cricut.  I got very adventurous and made this one.  Ha-ha  To me it was a lot of detailed work, but to some of you it might just be a 'walk in the park'.   I made this one as a back to school card for my youngest daughter.  I like to stick notes in my kid's bags to find through out the day.
The card is made using the CTMH Cricut cartridge Artfully Sent.
The Card stock I used is from Stampin' Up.

Back to School gift holder~

Hi Stampers!
I can not believe school starts in just a week and a half!  WOW! Our summer has just flown by.  We have gotten to do a lot of fun family events, but I still wish it was longer.  It's super hot here into the 100's for the past few days so it's a good time to say in doors to get some fun little projects done.
Here is the project I would like to share with you today.  I was not sure what to call it for sure, but it can hold candy, and it holds two hand sanitizers plus room for a little shredded paper to add fun!

I had not done a tutorial for awhile so I thought I would go ahead and do one for this project.

The items I used are a Varity,
Pacific Point Card Stock from Stampin' Up!
Overlay piece of card stock from The Paper Studio
Ribbon and punches are from Stampin' Up!
Twine is from Michaels

What you'll need:
-Two pieces of heavy card stock one cut at 11"x4 1/4" and 5"x3 3/8"
-Score the 11" x 3 1/4" paper at 4 3/4" and 6 1/4 set it aside and score the smaller piece of paper at 1" all the way around.
On the largest paper fold your score marks and fold in half to ends meet, next take a large oval punch to punch out both sides and adhere the over lay pieces.
-Next trim the edges of the smaller one to look like mine, that is going to be the box to hold the goodies in.  After trimming the corners use your choice of adhesive to stick it together, I used Fast Fuse by Stampin' Up!
-Place the box using Fast Fuse inside of the larger piece of paper in the middle between the score marks.
-Then use pretty ribbon to tie it closed.  I used ribbon and twine to close mine.

There you have it!  How cute!!  The stamped Sentiment is from a now retired Stampin' Up set called  Label Love.

Let me know what you think of the project either on here or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/starduststamper  I would love to hear from you!!
